H1N1

So for all the rant and rave out there about H1N1 I thought the world had gone to the pigs. People freaking out like its the new SARS do need to realize some important things. Swine Flu is only really dangerous to those who have compromised immune systems like the elderly, the young, those with cancer, or A.I.D.S.. So if you are a normal fit person with a decent immune system just be careful if you suddenly acquire intense flu symptoms but you should be just fine.

Although I'm not talking about this issue though just because its somehow trendy. You see I joined the elite (here's the OFFICIAL FAQ) 29,546 people who have Swine Flu. Yea it has officially found its way into my home. I haven't gotten checked yet but a 5 year old child who spends 1/2 his days at my house it turns out does have it. You would think that if someone KNEW their child had H1N1 they would not send them to daycare with other people's children! ARRG!!

Yay I get to go get tested soon! What I really hate is apparently this woman KNEW her child had H1N1 BEFORE dropping him off to day care but failed to mention it until AFTER she picked him up at the end of the day! Why have they thought to make laws in my state about hunting whales but they have yet to make laws about willfully spreading dangerous diseases to children? Someone here really needs to have their heads examined!

Medical Moral Dillema

OK so this family has done a radical medical procedure, go here for the details, please take time to read this one, ill wait....

Done? Ok so now onto the rant. This peter pan surgery, in my opinion is wonderful! I think it is sparing the parents a life time of dilemmas, and the child a life time of misery. Some people might think this surgical procedure is completely immoral, i say to who? Until you've had one of these children or taken care of one for a good length of time you don't know what it is really like. As the years go by watching them get bigger but never change mentally. You've never had the headache of wiping a 27 year old mans ass because he doesn't know how. If you havn't sung a 30 year old to sleep with Old McDonald because he gets terrified if hes left alone in the dark, if you havn't done any of these then you can't understand.

Now you must also consider my view point on this particular procedure comes from the fact that for the past 7 years i have been working in group homes and with people all over 2 different states that have mild to severe mental disability. I have done the things mentioned above. I have had to help full grown men get changed because they lack the mental comprehension to dress themselves and have virtually no chance of ever improving their own situation. I believe these people did something wonderful, i can only hope that more people will be able to do this in the future.

Now I'm not saying that if you kids a little slow you should stunt them, I think it should only be used in the MOST extreme cases possible such as the ones in the story.

Lettering in Necrophilia

So the fine state of Wisconsin has just adopted its first policy handling Necrophilia, and yup you guessed it! ITS ILLEGAL!! Get the whole fucked up story here. Though how this whole policy came up is still quite the debatable subject. It would seem that 3 kids were charged with attempting to force themselves on a DEAD woman. The lower courts said that there was no law against it, and that if they made a law against it that the kids would still be let go as they committed the crime BEFORE the law had been passed. Just when it looked like everyone was going to go home happy, the upper court system took a hold of the entire thing and decide since dead people can't give consent its rape no matter if shes alive OR dead. Now this causes some serious issues, as dead people and unborn baby's have previously had different guide lines and laws that govern them. Thus abortion is not murder, nor is hitting dead people chargeable as any kind of violent crime. (On a side note killing dead people is also OK, but hitting baby's is frowned upon. go fig...) Now I was all about to just chalk this up to nothing more than odd, but then I read a very interesting part of the story,

"Police say the three men, carrying shovels, a crowbar and a box of condoms, went to a cemetery in southwestern Wisconsin in 2006 to dig up the body of Laura Tennessen, 20, who had been killed the week before in a motorcycle crash.Nicholas Grunke had seen an obituary photo of her and asked the others for help digging up her corpse so he could have sexual intercourse with it, prosecutors say.Authorities say the men used shovels to reach her grave but were unable to pry open the vault. They fled when a car drove into the cemetery and were eventually arrested."



They are getting charged with rape for ALMOST rapping a dead chick? OK now that's pushing it! I mean come on, they are going to pay for a crime they ALMOST did? Now I'm not saying what the kids did is anywhere near right, or normal for that matter, but they have unfortunetly gone into quite the delicate area. Intent to commit rape is a serious offense, but does the same law apply to the attempted intercourse of a dead person? If someone does a crime I believe fully that they should be held responsible for it. This is clearly a case of grave robbing (now there's a good wholesome past time) and not fucking of the dead because for this to happen one must actually begin intercourse! You see in Wisconsin there is a small legal issue. In their law books any attempted crime is charged as if committing the crime but rape cannot be charged UNLESS male and female genitalia come into contact pertaining ONLY to the penis and vagina. So at best a sexual assault charge would be filled but their is no law stating anything about that with dead people either! This should serve as a lesson to the other states not listed below to make said laws before this kind of stuff happens.

So as it stands which should it be? Should these kids be charged with a crime they were going to commit but did not in fact commit as per PART of the law. Or do we turn to the fact that Justice is blind and we have to acknowledge that crime stopped before it is committed is fair to prosecute only if there is a law acknowledging that such a crime existed in the first place. Obviously now there does need to be such a law, and that ladies and gentlemen is a very sad fact, but under the law system as it stands these three kids would grandfather such a law.

Unfortunately for those who get deep into the law system in America a sad fact is quickly made apparent. You see the legal system doesn't care as much about justice as one might think, it only cares if said justice falls under its current stipulations and rules. So in this case should whats right to do? Modifying the system for a singular case is never permissible and would compromise the entire system but not doing so would mean allowing these kids to have intended a very sick crime but go unpunished for attempting it. But by those standards punishing them for a crime they in fact did not commit is very wrong as per the rules set to govern such a system. This is a legal gray area in a system of black and white. !. Starve a Cheerleader, Save the World!!

When solving issues of global health we look at the big picture right? So when someone says "The number of people who are starving, world wide, is estimated to be 800,000,000" Holy fucking shit! Tila Tequila doesn't even have that many MySpace friend's. Jesus didn't even have that many MySpace friends! That's a lot of starving people, and with numbers like that it has to be our largest health concern right? WRONG. The bare facts are this, there are estimated 6,706,993,152 people in the world and if 800,000,000 are starving that means 1 in 8.383 people are starving to death right now. Literally right now. And by the rate they are starving, little Hoddji in Indonesia just died from lack of cury while you were reading that last line. So when the world held a major conference to discuss world health surely this was the main focus of conversation right! WRONG! SHIT! That's two I've missed now. No their main topic of discussion is the other health issue that now affects more people than starvation, Obesity. What the hell? We have children dying in the streets who are 12 years old an weigh in at 72 lbs. and you put that on the back burner to discuss the fat woman in front of me at McDonald's who orders a Big Mac, XL fries, a chocolate shake, two apple pies, and a Diet Coke? OK this one should be simple, FAT PEOPLE NEED TO STOP EATING!

Now I understand that "FAT" comes in a few category's, their is Big, XL, Fluffy, and DAMN! Now everyone up threw Fluffy knows they could probably eat less cake, maybe run a few miles, and hey they would lose some weight. BUT they aren't the ones we call obese. The National Institute of Health states that "A person is obese if they weigh 30 lbs. more than their body and build should have." So hey some people are just big I get that. But to be in the DAMN category, well if you go to Disney Land and small children want to ride you instead of the Matahorn, then you're FAT! Got that?!?! Your a big fat fatty! Now why is it that the world thinks I should be concerned about this? This is none of our business! People who are starving have no food, they need OUR help to acquiring nourishment, this is humanity's concern. Now if you are just to lazy to do ANYTHING and your the kind of person who believes that Lays wavy chips make great forks for your pie then I have NO obligation to help you. You have everything in front of you and are unable to understand moderation. You do not have a condition, you have a fat ass and that is all.
